The Overcoming the Odds awards were created by Student Advocacy to celebrate students whose tenacity, grit andcommitment to school have allowed them to succeed in spite of significant, potentially debilitating obstacles.

Each year, over 300 supporters gather to honor these remarkable students, hear their stories and applaud them for their achievements. The evening is soheartwarming and engaging that we were awarded Best Nonprofit Event in Westchester last year.
